Carbon Footprinting (GHG Audit)

A Carbon Footprint, or Green House Gas Inventory (GHG Inventory) is the total amount of green house gas emission caused by an entity, product, or event. There are various standards that describe what is to be included or not included in a carbon footprint and how it should be calculated. There are many reasons why someone may wish to know the footprint of their organization or product. It provides a complete picture of the sources of consumption and emission in an organization or supply chain. Exporters wish to footprint their products to prepare for compliance with import regulations in European Markets and to increase their appeal to European consumers.
